On June 20th, the 2026 PCDP field team traveled to Kinsale, Virginia to participate in the Kinsale Waterman’s Market. The team enjoyed speaking with everyone who stopped by about our work and your local dolphin sightings. At our booth we loved seeing people try to match fins with our fin matching game, which is very similar to what we do in the field.

When we are not on the water looking for dolphins, we love any opportunity to speak with the public and share the our knowledge and project.
It was a treat to meet other local vendors and see the beautiful marina club in Kinsale.
Our favorite interactions are always when we learn about your dolphin sightings and experiences. We learned about all the times when dolphins are in the small rivers and creeks of the Potomac and they swim past your docks or piers.
We see the dolphins as members of our Northern Neck community and we are so excited to hear about how far they travel and their behavior.
